Dr. Sandra Dufour graduated Magna cum Laude from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. She received her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2000. Her education included an internship at Castle Point, New York V.A. Medical Center, and a Pediatric, Strabismus, and Vision Therapy internship at SUNY Optometry.
While attending optometry school Dr. Dufour was the recipient of numerous scholastic honors. After graduating, she went on to complete a post-doctorate residency program at the Newington Connecticut V.A. Medical Center.
Dr. Dufour practices primary care optometry and has a broad interest in all aspects of eye care, including adult and pediatric eye exams, vision therapy, contact lens fitting, and pre and post-op care for Lasik refractive surgery, and is currently the Infantsee Coordinator for the State of Vermont.
Currently a member of the American Optometric Association and the Vermont Optometric Association. She published an article in the October 2002 issue of Optometry, the Journal of the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Dufour lives in Windsor, with her husband Eric, son Adam, daughters Sophia and Madeline, and their dog Libby. She enjoys the outdoors and is especially fond of skiing, kayaking, and hiking.
